NEW - SPECIAL EDITION "PIERROT LUNAIRE" BY R JOHN WRIGHT: This is a custom designed doll made by R John Wright in 2006 as a centerpiece for the 2006 Modern Doll Convention in Las Vegas, NV. It is not a RJW regular production piece and was only made in a limited edition of 35 pieces. It is named "Pierrot Lunaire" or "Moonstruck Pierrot". It is a very large piece measuring 24" tall as pictured, with an 8" base width. The custom base is made of resin with a bronzed finish. The crescent moon is covered in grey felt. On the moon sits a 16" tall Pierrot. He is fully jointed including his knees and has the typical molded and hand painted RJW face. The white silk costume is exquisite with it's black pom pom buttons and white tulle collar. On his head is a black felt skullcap and on his feet black felt slippers. This doll is # 118 in the limited edition series. She stand 17" tall and her body is completely made of molded felt. The body is fully jointed and has hand painted features. Her facial painting and expression are just exquisite ! She wears a beautifully made tiered pink organdy dress with felt rose trim. On her feet are matching dark pink satin shoes with buckles. Her hair is mohair and is styled in a formal topknot and accented with pale pink flowers. Around her delicate neck she wears a single strand of pearls and in her ears matching pear drops.
