NEW - 6PC ALLERTON CHILDS TEA SET: Beautiful little 6 piece china child's tea set in excellent original condition. Manufactured by Charles Allerton & Sons, Staffordshire England around 1860. The Allerton company was well know for manufacturing whimsical tea sets using children and nature as the themes. This particular set is painted with children, dogs and birds. The design is painted in a lovely shade of cobalt blue on creamy white china. There are 6 plates which measure 5 1/2" in diameter; 6 saucers and cups .... saucers are 4 1/2" in diameter and the cups are 2 1/2" tall; a covered teapot 5 1//2" tall, covered sugarbowl - 4 1/2" tall and a cream pitcher - 3 1/4" tall.
